We support the Moyle District Council’s proposal to twin with Gaza
Dublin (SaebPress)… Dr Hikmat Ajjuri, Palestine Ambassador to Ireland, has stated to the chairman of Moyle District Council, Padraig Mc Shane, that he
“Supports all actions and steps that can help to break the Siege on Gaza, including Moyle District Council’s proposal to twin with Gaza”.
The Ambassador was speaking following an official meeting at the embassy with the Chairman of Moyle District Council, Padraig Mc Shane in Dublin Friday 7th of October 2011. Some well-known Health and humanitarian Aid personals were present at the meeting.
It is a beautiful idea.
“The proposals contained within the Twinning document from Moyle allow us to hope for a better future for some of the children in our beloved Gaza. The concept of the Moyle Peace Park is a beautiful idea – A family friendly environment with a play park for children. It will also incorporate a trauma centre in Gaza city”, Ambassador Hikmat Ajjuri, declared to the Chairman.
Addressing the meeting Dr Hikmat Ajjuri added that “Given the long-suffering endured by our people in Gaza, living under constant bombardment and the crippling effects of the siege, a trauma clinic to alleviate the deep psychological and mental scars that exist in our young people can begin to ease the devastation wrecked upon us by the siege.”
