GAZA  (SaebPress) — Ismail Haniyeh  The Palestinian PM praised the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners describing it as a “historic moment,” in an address To thousands of Palestinian People celebrating the release of their POWs, late Tuesday 18th of October.

Haniyeh declared that all of Palestine will be liberated through resistance, adding that the great victory is not only for Palestinians but also for all Arabs.

The deal included Christians, women and 320 detainees with life terms….We kiss the hands and foreheads of the Palestinian resistance, for their heroic role”, he said.

Yehya Al-Sinwar, a top Hamas security strategist who spent 23 years in jail, was cheered by the rally, “I call on all the leaders of the Palestinian resistance factions and foremost the Izz el-Deen Al-Qassam to shoulder the responsibility for liberating the remaining prisoners in the shortest time possible,” he said.

Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Ramallah and Gaza City in celebration of the release of hundreds of POWs from ‘Israeli’ prisons. More than 200,000 people rallied at al-Katiba square in Gaza City.

40 Freed POWs to fly to Syria and Turkey

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said around 10 Palestinians would come to Turkey as part of the prisoner exchange being carried out. Some 30 of the POWs were being sent to Syria and Qatar.

Under the deal, which was mediated by Egypt, another 550 jailed Palestinians are expected to be released next month.

According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, about 6,000 Palestinian detainees are currently held in ‘Israeli’ prisons
