In response to 0xOmar statement, Ayalon has asked MK Robert Ilatov ,who chairs the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and ‘Defense’ Sub-Committee to convene an emergency session on ‘Israel’s’ need of an elite cyber unit.
Meanwhile, the ‘Israeli’ banking system is considering blocking online access for overseas users over the recent series of cyber-attacks on financial websites. First International Bank of ‘Israel’ (Fibi) and ‘Israel’s’ Discount Bank have already applied the limitation as a precautionary measure.
SaebPress learned that all of the affected websites were targeted by a (DoS attack) Denial-of-service attack or (DDoS attack) distributed denial-of-service attack. Perpetrators of DoS attacks typically target sites or services hosted on high-profile web servers such as banks, credit card payment gateways, by flooding its server with requests and making it unavailable to others.
