Right-wing Zionists to attack Al-Aqsa mosque

‘Israel’ has been trying to destruct al-Aqsa Mosque through different means even after the arson, damaging the Mosque’s foundations by building tunnels leading to the Temple Mount (i.e. the Jerusalem Shrine).

Occupied Jerusalem – al Quds, (SaebPress) — Members of the ‘Israeli’ ruling right-wing party “Likud” declared that they would break-in to al-Aqsa mosque on Sunday, the 12th of February, to invite for building their temple on the ruins of the mosque.

“We invite everyone to climb the temple mount to announce a sound leadership, which confirms the full control over the temple mount, to cleanse the area from Israel’s enemy, the lands’ thieves. We aim to build the temple over the ruins of al-Aqsa mosque.” The announcement stated.

Some websites that belong to the right-wing party have lately published an announcement in the name of “Likud”, calling on thousands of the party members to break –in to the Mosque, in a delegation, and the leading politician Moche Viglin would be leading the attack.

“We call on the Arabic World in general and the Islamic Nation in specific to hold responsibility to stop the Israeli arrogances and procedures.” Al-Aqsa institution said in a press release

Local residents confirmed to SaebPress the heavy presence of the occupation army in Jerusalem – al Quds, “nothing yet happing on the streets around al-Aqsa or the other holy sites in occupied Jerusalem al Quds, our people are remaining vigilant and prepared to defend our holy sites at any cost” a local resident said.

Meanwhile, influx of Palestinians from occupied West Bank and occupied Palestine 48 areas are heading to Jerusalem – al Quds to join the defenders of the wholly sites.

Al-Aqsa Mosque fire of 1969

The morning of August 21, 1969, a fire engulfed the south-eastern wing of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Al-Aqsa is known to Muslims all over as Haram-al-Sharif (the Noble Sanctuary). This is a cherished location for Muslims for over 1,300 years, a site visited by Prophet Muhammad SAW on his winged horse, El-Baraq on The Night of Ascend.

The fire destroyed a 1000 year old precious and historic pulpit that was presented by Saladin in the 12^th Century. The damage done to the Mosque was restored to some extent with the contribution of $US 9 million by Jordan.

As the natural reaction would be, heated demonstrations took place in the Arab parts of Jerusalem to condemn this act. All access points to the Mosque were blocked, hundreds of police officers were recruited to curb the agitators, and a curfew was put in East Jerusalem the same evening.

The initial assumptions stated that an electrical fault became the cause of the fire but reports started spreading about ‘Israelis’ responsible for it. At the time the fire was being extinguished, there were also claims that the ‘Israeli’ fire extinguishers threw gasoline on the fire instead of water.

The next day brought to limelight another culprit, Dennis Michael Rohan, an Australian tourist who was termed responsible for the arson and was arrested on August 23. Rohan turned out to be a Protestant follower of the Church of God which is an evangelical sect.

Rohan believed that the process of the second coming of Messiah will fasten with the burning of the Mosque. Presented in front of the court, Rohan stated that he was acting as “the Lord’s emissary” following the divine instructions and also stated that his reason for trying to destruct Al-Aqsa Mosque was in order to give a chance to rebuild it as the Jewish Temple. He was later found to be mentally ill and was hospitalized in a mental institution.

One of the consequences of Al-Aqsa fire was the creation of the OIC by King Faisal of Saudi Arabia in the first-ever meeting of Islamic Summit which was convened in September 1969 in Rabat, Morocco. However, the efforts of the OIC have not succeeded in keeping the Mosque safe from the terrorist attacks and defilement even to this day.

A letter from Ahmed Ibrahim Lobad was published in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle on June 13, 1996 stating that “It is impossible to detail all incidents of Israeli destruction, desecration and usurpation of Muslim and Christian holy place in a brief letter. To mention a few: In 1969 Zionists burned and heavily damaged part of the al-Aqsa Mosque, Israeli authorities would not help [sic] in extinguishing that fire.”

Even while ‘Israel’ has repeatedly denied that Rohan was a Jew, facts have proved him to be a Zionist, recruited by the violating parties to commit this sinful task. This claim of Rohan being an ‘Israeli’ was also stated by The Wall Street Journal on November 13, 2000.

Taissir Rajab Al-Tamimi, who is the Chief of Judges and Chairman of the Islamic Law High Council in the Palestinian Authority, stated in an Interview on August 23, 2004, “The Israeli government conspired and formed an alliance with this criminal – who came from Australia, and is a Jew – for the burning of the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque.” Another prominent figure, Ibrahim Hooper who is a member of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, listed down “the 1969 arson attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque” in the list of the major violations made by ‘Israel’ to the sacred Islamic sites, in his article for The Washington Post on October 16, 1996.

Despite repeated denials by ‘Israelis’, media and independent reports have repeatedly blamed ‘Israel’ as a major force behind the Al-Aqsa fire, thus bringing shame and ignominy for the Jews all around the world.

Commenting to PressTV on Saudi Arabia’s attack on Sana’a International Airport, author and commentator Saeb Shaath said ”Saudi Arabia’s actions destroy neighbours’ trust and destabilize the region”.

Yemen’s Foreign Ministry in Sana’a has condemned Saudi Arabia’s attack on Sana’a International Airport, saying that the strike marks the end of the truce and the beginning of a new phase of war.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry declared that Yemen will enter a new stage to fully reclaim its rights, warning that Saudi Arabia will find itself in a major strategic deadlock and will bear high costs for its aggression.

Separately, the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, stated that “the Saudi aggression will not go unpunished,” adding, “The Saudi enemy has ended the de-escalation phase, and must bear responsibility for all potential consequences.”

The Yemeni Ministry of Transport announced in a statement that “Saudi Arabia’s bombardment of Sana’a airport and violation of the Yemeni airspace signifies the Riyadh regime’s insistence, with Americans’ and Zionists’ push, to continue the siege.”

On March 26, 2015, Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies initiated a blockade on Yemen, marking the beginning of a comprehensive war, backed with military, political, and logistical assistance from the United States and other Western countries.

The war has led to the deaths of tens of thousands of people in Yemen, while failing to achieve its primary goal of reinstating the previous government that was aligned with Riyadh.

Amid a power struggle, the government fled the country, leading Yemen’s popular resistance movement, Ansarullah, to take charge of state affairs.

After a delicate ceasefire brokered by the UN in 2022, multiple rounds of significant attacks were launched against Yemen by the United States, Britain, and the Israeli regime.

The assaults aimed to weaken Sana’a’s ability to conduct solidarity strikes against Israeli targets, which were being conducted in response to Tel Aviv’s genocidal actions in the Gaza Strip.

Tens of millions of Iranians and devotees from across the world turned the funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, into the largest procession the world has ever witnessed, according to a report.

The six-day grand farewell and burial rites for the revered Leader were held across five cities — Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala, and Mashhad — drawing massive, passionate crowds that defied all previous records, the Fars News Agency reported.

The ceremonies included three days in Tehran, two days of public mourning at the Grand Mosalla and one day of the main funeral procession, with each of the other cities hosting a full day of tributes. Many mourners traveled between cities, multiplying the scale of participation and creating a continuous wave of devotion.

Official estimates, compiled from multiple independent field and government sources, confirm that between 41 and 43 million people took part in the historic events.

These figures are based on a rigorous combination of data including public transport passenger records to and from ceremony sites, active mobile phone signals in key areas such as the Mosalla and main procession routes, average individual attendance duration of approximately two and a half hours, detailed crowd density calculations along Tehran’s procession paths, physical area measurements from Jamkaran Mosque to the Holy Shrine in Qom, and the route from the airport to the Imam Reza Holy Shrine in Mashhad.

The endless sea of mourners, who had gathered since early morning, accompanied the vehicle carrying the blessed bodies, transforming the streets of Mashhad into a scene of unparalleled grandeur and devotion.

The sheer scale of the gathering defied description. From the moment the funeral vehicle entered Imam Reza Street, it was completely surrounded by waves of mourners who had traveled from every corner of Iran, all united in grief and determination.

Their tear-streaked faces and fervent chants filled the air, creating an atmosphere that observers described as one of the most remarkable displays of national unity in recent history.

Iraqi authorities, through the Prime Minister’s Office, separately verified the presence of around 10 million mourners in Najaf and Karbala, providing an important independent pillar for the overall calculation.

Even when applying the most conservative methodologies, Iranian officials and relevant authorities emphasize that this monumental event has surpassed every comparable gathering of the past century.

It stands without doubt as the single largest funeral procession in recorded history, a powerful and everlasting testament to the deep love and unwavering allegiance of the Iranian people and the broader Islamic Ummah for their martyred Leader.

The Leader and members of his family were martyred in a terrorist attack on February 28, carried out by the United States and the Zionist regime against the leader’s residence.

Among those martyred were new Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei’s wife, the late leader’s son-in-law; a daughter of the late leader and his 14-month-old granddaughter.

The funeral ceremonies began last Friday, with tributes from political officials from over 45 countries and scholars from more than 90 nations. This was followed by farewell ceremonies at Tehran’s Mosalla over the weekend, where millions paid their respects.
