Gaza (SaebPress) — Palestinians spearheading the Global March to Jerusalem while they commemorate the annual Land Day, which marks the deadly ‘Israeli’ occupation attacks on Palestinian protests in the Galilee in 1976. Protesters at the Qalandia checkpoint hurled rocks at occupation soldiers, who responded with stun grenades and tear gas.
‘Israeli’ occupation forces were put on high alert at frontier crossings with Lebanon and Syria. The occupation forces have ramped up security, restricting cross-border travel and access to the sacred site of al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem al-Quds. Thousands of soldiers and police personals have been deployed in Jerusalem al-Quds and its neighbourhoods.
However, violence erupted at checkpoints in the occupied West Bank to the north and south of Jerusalem. Witnesses also reported disturbances at gates leading into the Old City, with police looking to limit access to the revered al-Aqsa Mosque.

Palestinians are joining a “Global March to Jerusalem” in addition to the annual Land Day commemoration, which marks a deadly ‘Israeli’ occupation attacks on Palestinian protests in the Galilee in 1976. ‘Israeli’ forces were put on high alert at frontier crossings with Lebanon and Syria, but there were no reports of any protesters nearing the fences, unlike last year when several demonstrators were killed there by ‘Israeli’ occupation forces.

Friday after noon at Qalandia the ‘Israeli’ occupation forces continued its firing of rubber bullets at protesters. Ambulances are constantly collecting the injured; several protestors at Qalandia have been injured by rubber bullets. In Qalandia some demonstrators are throwing Molotov cocktails and rocks at occupation soldiers, the stone-throwers are targeting the military watch tower and being met with rubber bullets, tear gas and skunk water.
In Bethlehem a large amount of tear gas is being fired at protestors there, protestors are throwing stones at a military watchtower.
Moreover in Jerusalem al-Quds, the occupation police horses were charging at the crowds of demonstrators, while occupation police forces surrounding and beating protestors; protestors are responding by building barricades. Soldiers and police are firing tear gas and pepper spray on protestors, causing some demonstrators to require medical treatment.
Kiling and incursion into Gaza Strip
In Gaza Mahmoud Zakout, 19 years old was Killed while taking part in the demonstrations in the North part of the Gaza Strip, six more people including a journalist were seriously injured at the ‘Erez’ checkpoint between ‘Israeli’ occupied Palestine 1948 and Gaza, by ‘Israeli’ fire.
Israeli military tanks crossed into Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, late Thursday, tanks and bulldozers crossed into territory east of Rafah, supported by airstrikes witnesses said.
